Children's Health in Southeast Missouri will be discussed at a public forum Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Southeast Missouri State University Center.
Panelists will discuss the current state of children's mental health needs and services in the area, the availability of primary health care for low-income families, and the implementation in the area of the new Missouri program targeted to expand services to Medicaid-eligible children.
Panelists include Dennis Reagan, Cape Girardeau County director of the Missouri Division of Family Services; Trish Codding, regional director of the Bureau of Special Health Care Needs; Charlotte Craig, director of the Cape Girardeau County Health Department, Primary Health Clinic; and Paul Schniedermeyer, director of children's services for the Community Counseling Center.
The forum is free and is sponsored by the Cape Girardeau Chapter of the Missouri Association for Social Welfare and co-sponsored by the Community Caring Council.
