Japan's Festival of Spring will be presented in an art program Saturday afternoon at Alma Schrader School.

The 2 p.m. event is part of the Festivals, Families and the Arts program presented by the Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts.

Children and their companions and parents will make a kite and fly it. Masa Nataka, a Japanese student at Southeast, will describe how families in Japan celebrate the arrival of spring.
