The Cape Girardeau County coroner has determined that the death of a two-year-old girl Tuesday was accidental.
Tendora Jackson of Cape Girardeau was struck by a northbound truck at about 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, when she ran out into the street in the 100 block of South Lorimier.
She was transported to Southeast Missouri Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 7:19 p.m.
Cape County Coroner John E. Carpenter said that Jackson's was the third vehicle-related death this year in the county, the second within Cape Girardeau's city limits.
The driver of the truck, James Collins, 34, of Cape Girardeau, was not cited for the incident.
