Mark Chestnutt and Clay Walker, country music stars who are still on the rise, will appear at the Show Me Center May 22 at 7:30 p.m.
Chestnutt has been called "Country Radio's Stealth Star," by Billboard Magazine. His latest album "Almost Goodbye" is steadily climbing the charts with the album's single "It Sure is Monday". Chestnutt's two previous albums have achieved gold sales status.
His debut album "Too Cold At Home", had four hit singles,"Brother Jukebox", "Blame It on Texas", "Your Love is a Miracle" and "Broken Promise Land."
Chestnutt won the 1991 AMOA award for Rising star of the Year, beating out artists in all music formats. His second album, "Longnecks and Short Stories", brought him four more hit singles with "Old Flames Have New Names", "I'll Think Of Something", "Ol' Country" and the well known "Bubba Shot The Jukebox."
Clay Walker, the 23-year-old country standout is being billed as "today's hottest country writer in Nashville." His self-titled album "Clay Walker" is riding the success from his hit songs "Where Do I Fit In The Picture", "Money Can't Buy (The Love We Had)", and "I Don't Know How Love Starts, But I Sure Know How It Ends..."
