Jackson cheerleaders were selected the Herkie TEAM Award Winners at the National Cheerleaders Association summer camp recently held at Southeast Missouri State University. Jackson cheerleaders were selected the Herkie TEAM Award Winners at the National Cheerleaders Association summer camp recently held at Southeast Missouri State University.

The award goes to squads exemplifying leadership, values and teamwork. The award mean Jacksons is now eligible to travel nationally with the association and will be featured in the Adolphus Children's Christmas Parade in Dallas and the Brach's Holiday Parade in Chicago.

Three Jackson cheerleaders were All-American nominees, including Kristen Randol for jumps, Johanna Gordon, tumbling, and Kristi Keith, leadership. Randol was named an All-American and will be able to participate in the Aloha Bowl. All nominees may participate in the Hula Bowl in Honolulu.

The squad received spirit sticks all four nights and camp and earned four blue ribbons and two red ribbons for nightly evaluations.
