Chateau Girardeau Garden Club holds first tea

The Chateau Girardeau Garden Club recently held an appreciation tea in the Courtyard Garden recently. The community at Chateau Girardeau and the larger community have donated many of the garden club needs, enabling the group to grow.

Financial contributions have been received from the family of Gerald Sielert and Margaret Mates. Anonymous contributions came with motivational messages like "keep up the good work," and in memory of John and Mary Blue. Other contributions in the form of plants and furniture were received from Fred and Agnes Graper, friends of Gerald Sielert and Anne Brown.

The Career and Technology Center sandblasted and painted the patio furniture as a service project.
