CHARLESTON -- Bill McNeary, president of Country Computers and Cadlab Inc., of Charleston, announced that two new employees, James Adams and Oral Friend, have joined the firm.
Adams, of Anna, Ill. and Charleston, is completing a degree in industrial technology at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He provides consulting and training services on computer-aided manufacturing design and modeling with AutoCAD for computer-aided design, NC-Auto-Code and AutoShade.
Friend earned an associates degree in electronics from Linn Technical College and worked for General Instrument Co., for five years, specializing in preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repair. He is a primary service technician for personal computers and heads the company's new contracted scheduled service plan, which provides regular maintenance, training and repair.
Friend also contributes support for multimedia applications, including 3D-Studio and AutoDesk Animator. The Cape Girardeau resident is a part-time musician and integrates sound and graphic applications through computers.
Established in 1980, Country Computers provides computers, software, services and training for business applications. A specialized branch, Cadlab, provides systems and support for computer-aided design and multi-media personal computer applications. It produces AutoCAD, 3D-Studio and AutoDesk Animator.
