Awards and contests are planned on each hole. Businesses or groups who are unable to attend can sponsor a hole for $150 per hole.

Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinois and western Kentucky. Ronald McDonald Houses offer lodging for families of critically-ill children. The nearest Ronald McDonald House is in St. Louis.

In 1998, the local tournament raised $12,000 for the charity.

Space is limited to the first 100 golfers registered in the tournament. Registrations must be mailed by Sept. 27. Contact the McDonald's office at 528 Helena or call 334-7311 for more information.
