Daily Dunklin Democrat ~ Charges in the case against 51-year-old Allan Branum of Kennett, Missouri, have been changed to first-degree murder after the death of his wife, Regena, who was shot in the head last week.
On Thursday, the Kennett Police Department investigated the shooting about 8:30 p.m. at 305 N. Jackson St., said Capt. Tim Trowbridge, the department's public information officer.
Shortly afterward, Branum was charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action, and his wife was sent to a regional trauma hospital. She died of her injuries.
