Nona Nan Chapman of Cape Girardeau was installed ass president of the Missouri State Medical Association Alliance at the recent annual meeting in St. Louis. The 950-member organization is comprised of spouses of physicians who are members of the Missouri State Medical Association.

Chapman works as an aerobiology technician with her husband, Dr. Jean Allen Chapman, an internist and allergist. She provides, through the cooperation of Southeast Missouri State University, daily pollen and mold counts from 24 hours sampling data.

Mrs. Chapman is serving her second year as president of the Auxiliary to the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, a national organization. She is a member of the Board of the Southeast Missouri Hospital Foundation.

In addition to other community appointments and memberships, she has worked as a volunteer with Project Charlie, a drug prevention program; Cape Girardeau Area United Way, Southeast Missouri Hospital Auxiliary and the Cape Girardeau County Area Medical Alliance.

As a professionally trained vocalist, Mrs. Chapman has performed for numerous community events as well as state and national medical conventions. She has performed with both the Jackson and Cape Girardeau municipal bands. She is a member of First Presbyterian Church choir and the Choral Union at Southeast Missouri State University.
