The Cape Girardeau public access channel, which is available on Channel 5 on Charter Cable, will not air regular programming during the coming week due to maintenance and technical issues, the city announced today. Repairs are being made and the community message board will continue but none of the normally scheduled programming, including Cape Girardeau City Council meeting repeats, will not be available, according to Michelle Hahn, city public information coordinator. "We apologize for any inconvenience, but feel that the repairs being performed will improve and enhance the station's performance," Hahn said in a news release.
