WAPPAPELLO -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Wappapello Lake began rehabilitation of the public boat ramp, at the Greenville Recreation Area on Dec. 29. As a result, the boat ramp will be closed for approximately two weeks.

During this time please boaters are asked to use alternate boat ramps at Sulphur Springs, Page Branch, Holliday Landing or Carlton Place.

Work will include extending the ramps to allow safe use at winter pool, bringing ramps to standard with a consistent slope, and providing a grooved surface for better traction.
