CHAMBER TO AGAIN HONOR LOVELY LAWNS

CAPE GIRARDEAU - All that work planting flowers, mowing the grass and trimming the edges could lead to more than just a beautiful lawn. It could lead to the honor of having a Cape Girardeau "Yard of the Month."

The annual competition, sponsored by the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce Beautification Committee, will begin in April and end in October.

Nominations for the April Yard of the Month are now being accepted at the chamber office. They may be called in at 334-3312, or mailed to the chamber office, Box 98, Cape Girardeau, Mo., 73702-0098.

Each month, two residential yards and one non-residential landscape are selected by members of the Beautification Committee.

A sign designating the award is displayed in the winning yards and a certificate presented to each recipient.
