CHAFFEE -- The annual Christmas parade in Chaffee will at 1 p.m. today with the theme of "Here Comes Santa Claus." The parade will start at the parking lot on North Main Street, proceed south to Yoakum Avenue, and then west past the high school to Highway 77...

CHAFFEE -- The annual Christmas parade in Chaffee will at 1 p.m. today with the theme of "Here Comes Santa Claus."

The parade will start at the parking lot on North Main Street, proceed south to Yoakum Avenue, and then west past the high school to Highway 77.

Refreshments will be provided for participants after the parade. Prizes will be awarded to the top three floats.

Anyone interested in bringing a float or participating in the parade in any manner may contact Randy Dooley, 887-3225, or H.B. Rice, 887-3555.

The parade is a joint effort of the Chaffee Lions Club and the Chaffee Chamber of Commerce.

"Our parade has become one of the best small-town Christmas parades in the area," Rice said. "Come join the fun."
