CHAFFEE -- A workshop entitled "Helping Children Become Readers and Writers at Home and School" will be held Tuesday at Chaffee Elementary School at 7 p.m.
Parents and teachers at Chaffee Elementary School may participate.
An afternoon program will also be presented for children on that date. Children's writings from across the United States will be shared.
The workshops will be presented by Jacque Wuertenberg, a language arts consultant whose speciality is teaching children, parents and teachers how to become involved in reading and writing.
Students are encouraged to compose, illustrate, revise, edit and publish their own books.
The workshops are free of charge and babysitting will be provided for the evening session.
