CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Chaffee Mayor Loretta Mohorc says she plans to appoint three people to the city's police personnel board at Monday night's regular city council meeting.

The city has been completely without a police personnel board since mid-October, when three board members resigned and one board member was relieved from his duties for health reasons. Two board members, David Ivester and Sally Wehmeyer, cited differences with police chief Jesse Chisum, who was hired in August to take over following the resignation of Martin Keys.

Mohorc said she plans to appoint Don Kiefer, Loretta Below and Sue Sheffer to the board, and is waiting on confirmation from a fourth candidate.

The city council will meet at 7 p.m. tonight at Chaffee City Hall, 222 W. Yoakum Ave.
