CHAFFEE -- Trae Meyr has been selected as the nominee from Chaffee High School to attend the Missouri Scholars Academy.

The Scholars Academy is a three-week residential program for Missouri's gifted students. If selected, Meyr will attend the academy on the University of Missouri-Columbia campus June 12 to July 2.

Meyr, a sophomore, is involved in French Club, FHA, Future Business Leaders of America, Student Council, Biology-Ecology Club, and Beta Club. He has participated in football, baseball, basketball and track. He is the son of Larry and Judi Meyr of Chaffee.
