Emergency personnel assist Billy Beard, 50, of Chaffee, Mo. after the Harley-Davidson Sportster he was driving was struck by a Chevrolet Malibu driven by Kathryn Blevins, 61, of Chaffee, Mo. in front of Hardee's, 2115 William St. on Monday afternoon in Cape Girardeau. According to Cape Girardeau police, Blevins was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way when making a left turn from William into the restaurant parking lot and striking the motorcycle. Beard, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to a local hospital. He complained of pain to his shoulder and arm. The injuries were non-life-threatening.
