CHAFFEE -- The Chaffee High School Alumni Association met recently to elect new officers and discuss plans for the year.
Officers are: Barbara Arnold, president; Ann Whitfield, vice president; Randy Dooley, secretary/treasurer, and Joy Hooker, historian/recorder.
It was decided the school will participate in the homecoming parade Oct. 15, and the annual banquet and dance will be Oct. 16 at the new Elks Lodge. Registration for the banquet needs to be in by Oct. 13. Non-graduates may also attend.
The association awards a $500 scholarship each year to a top student to use at the school of his/her choice. This come from the yearly membership dues.
Dues are $3 per year per person. The association is urging every graduate and those who attended but did not graduate to become a member. Spouses who did not attend Chaffee High School can be associate members for a $3 fee.
