CHAFFEE, Mo. -- A 3-year-old was injured after the hay forks of a tractor went into the windshield of the vehicle she was riding in Wednesday afternoon in Scott County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 2:40 p.m., three miles south of Chaffee, a southbound farm tractor operated by Andrew J. Probst, 52, of Oran, Mo., was stopped and preparing to make a left turn from a private drive on County Road 252, when the westbound vehicle driven by Jill A. Siebert, 29, of Chaffee struck the hay forks, which were protruding into the road from the tractor.
The forks went into the windshield on the right side of Siebert's vehicle, striking passenger/daughter, Daley A. Siebert of Chaffee. Daley Siebert received serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to a Cape Girardeau hospital.
