The Cape Girardeau Central High School and Junior High orchestras will present a concert in the Central High Auditorium on May 18, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The concert is open and free to the public.
The high school orchestra will perform "St. Paul's Suite" by Gustav Hovst for string orchestra and "Concerto Italiano" by Antonio Vivaldi.
The junior high orchestra will perform "Blue Wood" by Chuck Elledge, "Finale" from overture to William Tell by G. Rossini, "Ashokan Farewell" by Jay Unger, and "Perpetual Motion" by L.V. Metcalf.
The orchestra program is celebrating its 73rd year in the Cape Girardeau Public School System.
