Students who receive invitations to membership in the NHS are juniors or seniors who uphold standards of scholarship, leadership, service and character as determined by the faculty council. A student must maintain a cumulative B plus average and must be active in three approved school organizations and activities.

One of their main service projects this year was a Trivia Challenge in which they raised money for St. Jude's Hospital. The students also served as guides for back-to-school night and parent teacher conference day, ushers for baccalaureate and graduation, and as workers at the swim meetings.
