The 50-year reunion of the Cape Girardeau Central High School class of 1943 was held recently.
The weekend began with a "Wimpy's Night" at the home of Marjorie Miller Thompson, where guests perused class memorabilia and enjoyed hamburgers from a youth gathering spot of the period.
The reunion continued with a picnic the following day at Shelter 21 at Cape County Park. Later, a dinner was held at the Cape Girardeau Country Club. The class determined that any money left over from the reunion would be donated to Central High School.
The following day, the class held a brunch at the home of Dr. and Mrs. James Kinder. Millie Limbaugh and Rush Limbaugh Sr. were special guests at the brunch.
