Cape Girardeau Central High School will celebrate National Library Week with three events next week in the school library.
Local chef and author Tom Harte will share insights on his book, "Stirring Words: Reflections and Recipes from a Harte Appetite," at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
The Southeast Missouri Climate Protection Initiative group will discuss global warming on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
At 7 p.m. Thursday, the school will host a celebration in appreciation of the mural and literary portraits created by local artist Craig Thomas. The artwork is displayed prominently in the school library. The Central String Ensemble will perform and student artwork will be displayed in the library, said school librarian Julia Jorgensen.
