The band captured these other honors:

-- Highest in music and marching scope among all three divisions.

-- Third among the 30 bands in the morning preliminary competition, qualifying to be among the 10 best bands in the evening competition.

-- A tie for second place in overall competition, one point behind the winning band from Blue Valley High School, Blue Valley, Kan.

-- A tie in the finals with Francis Howell North High School and Willard High School.

-- A tie with Blue Valley, the overall winner, for best music in the evening finals.
