CENTRAL BAND TO PLAY IN ST. LOUIS

Marching Tigers will participate in St. Louis marching spectacular

The Cape Girardeau Central High School Marching Tigers will participate in the 26th annual St. Louis marching band festival Nov. 1 at the Trans World Dome.

Ron Nall's Marching Tigers are perennial high finishers at this festival over the years. This year, 48 high school bands from Missouri and Illinois will compete from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Cape Central is scheduled to perform at 11:30 a.m.

The bands will compete for top awards in overall performance, music, marching, percussion and auxiliary in four divisions determined by size.

Advance tickets can be purchased at Central High School. Tickets are $9 or $3 for children age 12 and under. In addition, 1,100 reserved seats at the Club Level are available for $16.
