The Southeast Missourian's centennial anniversary celebration Saturday offers a variety of activities for children.
Here's a schedule of what's happening and how to find it:
Newspaper Magic: Magician Bill Coomer performs magic tricks using the Southeast Missourian newspaper.
Color Station: Color Tracker the news dog on the Common Pleas Courthouse lawn near the gazebo.
Milk bottle toss/down the clown heads: Throw a tennis ball at a pyramid of milk bottles or clowns' heads in these two contests. Mow them down and win a prize.
Castle Bounce: Children kick off their shoes and bounce inside the inflatable castle.
Rubber duck pickup/Fish for prizes: Win prizes by picking up a lucky duck or fishing in these two contests.
Other activities for children include mule-pulled carriage rides and live music throughout the day. For families, there's also Paddlewheel Old Time Photo, which offers vintage photos.
The event also includes tours of the Southeast Missourian printing press building and food venues.
The centennial celebration will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday and wrap up around 4 p.m.
