The annual Celebrity Waiter fundraiser for the American Heart Association will be held Friday beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Country Club.
Organizers hope the event raises $6,000 for the heart association.
Lucille Huffman, who helped organize the event, said waiters sell tickets for the evening, but about half the money will be raised through tips.
Patrons can tip for anything from napkins to silverware to "pie insurance," she said.
"If you don't have pie insurance, there's a possibility you may get a pie in the face," she said.
"It's really a fun event, and waiters try to do as much as they can to raise money for the Heart Association."
At the end of the evening, the waiter with the most tips wins the Favorite Waiter Contest.
An auction will also be held after the meal.
The theme of this year's event is "Friday Night at the Movies."
This year's celebrity waiters are Charlie Hutson, Jim Wente, Dr. Louis Ostrow, Dr. Bridgett Ostrow, Rick Blattner, Don Zimmer, Dr. Jonathon Foley, Mike Rust, Ken Voepel, Julia Kridelbaugh, Glenn McFadden, Dale Rauh, Maurice Sandfort, Jim Limbaugh, Craig Billmeyer, Doug Temples, Rock Finch, Dr. William LaFoe, Bob Neff and Phil Davis.
