CATO ASSISTED WITH GIRLS STATE PROGRAM

Betty E. Cato of Cape Girardeau served as manager of the sales department for the Missouri Girls State program.

This was her second year to serve on the staff. Missouri Girls State is sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary. The 75 staff members are volunteers.

The 50th session of Girls State was held at Williams Woods College in Fulton June 16-22. About 640 girls from across the state participated.

Cato is a member of the Louis K. Juden 63 of the American Legion Auxiliary in Cape Girardeau.

She is also serving as the district 14 president and chaplain of the state chapter.
