After a series of disappointing acts appeared throughout the show, judges accepted 13 acts for "America's Got Talent."
Neal Boyd, a Sikeston native and graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, has been described by the judges as one of the more promising contestants on the talent show. Boyd did not perform Tuesday.
The judges scoured Dallas, Chicago and Atlanta searching for examples of American talent. Some acts -- such as a 71-year-old Frank Sinatra singer -- were quickly accepted.
Others, like a tall man who drank milk through a 6-foot straw that was looped through his nose, disgusted the crowd and judge Sharon Osbourne.
Casting is set to continue Tuesday at 8 p.m.
