The Yes for Gaming campaign committee raised $54,300 to get voters to say yes next Tuesday, while the opposition group raised $9,336.80 to persuade them otherwise, according to the final campaign reports that were required to be filed eight days before the election. The bulk of the yes group's money came from Isle of Capri, which gave a $50,000 donation during this filing period but was reported before the end of the previous filing period, which ended Sept. 30. The yes group had $7,766 in cash on hand as of Oct. 25, when the report was filed. The Quality of Life group, which opposes a casino in Cape Girardeau, had $23.33.
