Robin Carnahan, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, has canceled her Cape Girardeau visit today, which had been scheduled for 11:30 a.m. She was scheduled to tour Saint Francis Medical Center and talk about jobs. Hospital officials said in an email only that the trip had fallen through.
The Associated Press reported earlier in the day that Carnahan also had stops planned at Lambert's Cafe in Sikeston and at the Catfish Wharf in Kennett Wednesday.
Carnahan's opponent, Republican Roy Blunt, was scheduled to tour nine cities in central and western Missouri Wednesday.
