The Caring Program for Children, a not-for-profit organization that provides access to health care for uninsured Missouri children, has openings for 1,000 additional children.

To be eligible, children must be younger than 19, live in a county covered by the program and have no medical insurance coverage or Medicaid. Income guidelines must also be met.

Children enrolled in the program receive free primary and emergency medical services. Claims are paid with money donated to the program by corporations, foundations or individuals. All administrative costs are underwritten by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Missouri.
