KENNETT, Mo. -- On Tuesday, Kennett police were sent to the Wal-Mart Supercenter parking lot to check on two small children left in a vehicle.

When officers arrived about 3:15 p.m., they found the children in the car with the windows rolled down, along with several worried witnesses.

Officers soon located the children's caregiver inside the store, but the person refused orders from police and attempted to flee.

The suspect was placed under arrest for two counts of child endangerment and resisting arrest.
