Carbondale officer injured in shooting out of hospital
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- A Carbondale police officer has been released from the hospital after he was shot during a pursuit over the weekend. The (Carbondale) Southern Illinoisan reported Harris will require further medical treatment but can recover at home.
Harris was shot when someone opened fire from a vehicle speeding away from a shooting scene. Police said they're looking for two suspects, and the shooting is under investigation.
