The Timeless Classics Car Club will sponsor its first car show Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the West Park Mall.
Car buffs are invited to walk through the grounds and view the cars at no cost.
Tom Nelson, vice president of the car club, said antique through new model cars will compete and be on display.
Owners will be on hand for the judging and also to talk about their vehicles.
Nelson anticipates that 100 to 200 cars will compete in the show. Cars will be entered from Illinois, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas and Missouri. The cars and trucks will compete in 39 different classes.
In addition to the show, a swap meet is planned and door prizes will be awarded. "It should be a lot of fun," Nelson said.
Members of the Timeless Classics Car Club have known each other about eight years, Nelson said. They meet at Steak 'n Shake Restaurant. Recently the club took on its name.
Members of the car club will have their vehicles on display but will not compete.
"We get out our cars and drive them around and have a good time," Nelson said.
He added that members of the club also provide classic cars for special events like grand openings. "Any kind of celebration, we are glad to do it," he said.
