G.D. Fronabarger was the Southeast Missourian's first photographer, beginning in 1932. Numerous men and women have followed in his footsteps, recording Cape Girardeau's history one image at a time on film. Our latest historic photo galleries -- "Captured on Film" -- feature the talents of these photogs before the age of digital cameras. The galleries that made up "Pictures of the Past" and "Mystery Galleries" may be found at www.semissourian.com/history/. Comments or questions about these photos should be sent to librarian Sharon Sanders at ssanders@semissourian.com.
