Jackson was on the attack against Cape Central Thursday, but it was the Tigers that came out on top 1-0.
Jackson outshot Central 11-5, but a free kick by Central's Pat Dunham netted the only goal of the match with 10 minutes remaining.
Central improved to 13-6-1 and Jackson fell to 12-5.
The victory assurred Cape the SEMO Conference championship as they defeated Jackson two out of three games in the regular season.
"We really played well enough to win, but Cape played good defense," Coach Bonnie Knowlan said.
Jackson was on the attack throughout much of the match, but everytime they got the ball near the goal, Cape's defense got stingy.
Jackson's JV won 2-0.
Jackson will play Waterloo on Tuesday and then they will play in the District Tournament.
