Cape's City Church holds open house

City Church will host an open house at its future location, 817 Broadway in Cape Girardeau, from 6 to 8 p.m. today. City Church's mission is ministering to people, particularly those downtown. The church has been holding services at 428 S. Frederick St. "It's time for the church to have its own building and the option to grow and be closer to its target areas," church member Jay Meystedt said. Finger foods and hot chocolate will be served during the open house, and renderings of what the interior of the building is planned to look like will be on display, he said. City Church hopes to be open at its Broadway location in the spring, Meystedt said.
