Phyllis Wilcox, the Cape Girardeau woman in love with serial killer Henry Lee Lucas, will celebrate more fame when an episode of the Maury Povich Show is expected to air in February.
Wilcox, also known for killer pen pals such as Charles Manson and the Son of Sam, was flown to New York this week for today's taping of the Maury Povich Show.
She captured national headlines in September when she claimed to be Becky Powell, a woman Lucas was convicted of killing.
The hoax might have jeopardized Lucas' death-row conviction, but Wilcox's picture was discovered in the Cape Central High School yearbook in 1970, when Becky Powell would have been 3 years old.
A spokesman from the Maury Povich Show couldn't comment about the title of the show or if Wilcox was getting paid for the appearance.
Phone calls Monday and Tuesday to the producer of the show featuring Wilcox weren't returned.
The show hasn't been scheduled for an air date.
