A 21-year-old Cape Girardeau woman has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon after allegedly displaying a pistol in a threatening manner Thursday night.
According to Cape Girardeau Police Department spokesman Darin Hickey, about 10 p.m., officers responded to a call from the 1100 block of Cousin Street after the caller said a woman had stepped out of a vehicle and displayed a pistol in a threatening manner to several people. Officers pulled over the vehicle and found a pistol.
Deshanna L. Winters, 21, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon, Hickey said.
Hickey said Winters was in the Cape Girardeau County Jail on Friday on a $7,500 cash-only bond. The driver of the vehicle, whose name wasn't released, was arrested for driving with a revoked driver's license but was released with the charge taken under advisement by the Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, Hickey said.
