SEMO Drug Task Force officers arrested a woman on suspicion of trafficking large amounts of methamphetamine. She claimed 59 grams of methamphetamine were hers at an apartment in the 500 block of Woodbine Street on Tuesday.

Megan Elizabeth Sisk, 22, of Cape Girardeau was charged with felony intent to distribute a controlled substance, felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ethan R. Harris, 22, of Cape Girardeau also was at the apartment and arrested on a Sikeston Department of Public Safety warrant for failure to appear for marijuana.

Task-force members served a search warrant about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday and found Sisk and Harris on a couch, according to a probable-cause statement from officer Brian Vassalli. Officers told Sisk and Harris the search warrant was for methamphetamine, and Sisk directed officers to 57 grams of methamphetamine in a black purse, seven hydrocodone pills and glass smoking pipe, according to the statement.

Officers also found .22 caliber ammunition, a bag with 2 grams of methamphetamine and a bag with nine grams of marijuana, the report stated.

In an interview with a task-force officers, Sisk was read her rights and said she has been selling large quantities of methamphetamine since about New Year’s Eve, paying $800 to $900 for an ounce. She also said Harris was not involved.

Sisk’s bond was set at $50,000, cash or surety.
