Cape Tea Party to hold meeting Tuesday

The Cape County Tea Party will hold its monthly meeting Tuesday at the Cape Girardeau Public Library, 711 N. Clark St.

This month's meeting will include updates on issues the group follows, including Common Core, shared parenting, Secure Missouri, Foundation for Applied Conservative Leadership training and prefiled legislation.

Information from the Heritage Action Presidential Forum in August in South Carolina also will be discussed, and the group will have giveaways from the event.

The meeting is open to the public.
