M.J. "Tony" Paikeday was recently inducted into the Order of Coif by the University of Virginia School of Law.
The Order of the Coif is an honorary society recognizing students graduating with academic distinction at select, nationally recognized law schools. A student must graduate in the top 10 percent of his or her class in order to be eligible for selection.
Paikeday graduated from Cape Central High School in 1985 before attending Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Mo. He received the Senior Gold Medal Award in 1989 when he graduated first in his class from Rockhurst.
Paikeday attended the University of Virginia School of Law in Charlottesville, graduating last May. He passed the Missouri Bar Exam last summer and became a member of the Missouri Bar Oct. 9.
He currently resides in San Francisco, Calif., where he is employed as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge Eugene F. Lynch.
Paikeday's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph M. Paikeday of Cape Girardeau.
