JACKSON -- The St. Louis Iron Mountain & Southern Railroad at Jackson will sponsor a Cape Shrine Club weekend Saturday and Sunday, featuring clown-filled train rides for kids and adults.
Twenty-five percent of ticket sales from the event will be donated to the Shrine Club. In addition to train rides, clowns will be on hand to make animal balloons. Children also will be able to see animals from the 5-H Ranch.
Rides will be Saturday at 9 and 11 a.m. and at 2, 4 and 6 p.m. The 6 p.m. ride will be a dinner train. Sunday rides will be at 11 a.m. and 1 and 3 p.m.
Tickets for regular rides are $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 3-12. Dinner train tickets are $19.50 for adults and $14.50 for children. Children younger than three ride free. For more information, or for reservations, call 243-1688.
