Rust was sworn in during a ceremony Sept. 28 in St. Louis. The 15-member board advises the governor, legislators and the youth division on matters relating to juvenile justice and operations of the state's Youth Services programs, according to a news release from the division. "Mr. Rust's interest in helping youth and looking at how juvenile issues affect our local communities makes him a great asset to the Advisory Board," youth services director Paul Bolerjack said. Rust is co-president of Rust Communications, which owns the Southeast Missourian.
