The Cape Girardeau Police Department is now offering free bicycle registration.

Registration will allow lost or stolen bicycles to be identified and returned to their owners. The owner's information will be entered into a database and a registration sticker with an identifying number will be placed on the bicycle.

To register a bicycle, call the Community Service Officers at 335-6621, extension 1243 or extension 1257, to schedule a registration time. Bikes can be registered 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Registration forms are also available at www.cityofcapegirardeau.org/police.
