Cape Girardeau police are looking for a woman who reportedly swiped a purse from a local gas station counter. At 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, a woman entered Shell D Mart at 3415 William St., the Cape Girardeau Police Department said in a news release Wednesday. She mistakenly left a change purse on the counter. A few minutes later, another woman entered, picked up the purse and exited. It is believed the alleged thief was driving an older white Pontiac Bonneville and wearing a tie-dyed rainbow T-shirt.
