Cape Girardeau police are restarting Police Explorer Post 4230 on Nov. 10, according to a news release.
The Police Explorer program instructs young men and women age 14 to 20 on various phases of law enforcement including criminal law, traffic law, criminal investigation, crime prevention and accident investigation in bi-weekly meetings at 6 p.m. throughout the year, according to the release.
Registration will take place between 6 and 8 p.m. Nov. 10 at Cape Girardeau Central High School. There is an application fee of $24. Applicants must have no felony convictions, maintain a C average in school and pass a background check, according to the release.
