Cape parks offers new services on website

New online services are available to those interested in Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department events.

Friday was the soft launch of the online software "Active" that provides a number of services.

Those visiting https://apm.activecommunities.com/capeparks may access registration options not available through the parks department page on the city's website.

Links on the new site include options to register for adult and children's leagues and activities, check league schedules and buy memberships and discount cards. It also allows visitors to check rental availabilities of facilities, courts, fields and picnic shelters.

With "Active," an account must be set up by the user to register for events or make purchases. Those with questions may contact the parks and recreation department at 339-6340.
